Mission Royale
Meritage Homes was looking for planning and engineering solutions to develop an 835-acre master planned community in Casa Grande, Arizona. The community needed to offer a variety of features to attract both active adults and traditional families.
Olsson Associates led the effort for planning and engineering. The project started with a PAD and Preliminary Plat submittal. It was followed by an engineering design that included grading, drainage, transportation, traffic, water, sewer, and utility design.
The homes in the active adult portion of the development are intermixed with an 18-hole golf course. The traditional single-family homes are anchored by a five-acre splash water park designed by Olsson's Landscape Architecture team.
The completed master plan features approximately 2,300 single-family residential lots and 1,040 single-family homes; 115 acres of private and public recreational facilities; 173 acres of public golf; and 1,292 active adult homes. It successfully reached both target markets without the need to compromise.
