Tank integrity provisions, as defined by the federal Spill Containment, Control, and Countermeasures (SPCC) rules, can be tricky when it comes to inspections. For example, fiberglass tank inspectors are not easy to access in the Colorado region. However, Olsson has inspectors trained for fiberglass tanks and is currently providing these services, as well as many other specialty services, to help oil and natural gas pipeline clients reach and maintain compliance.
Recently, Olsson completed a project to provide external annual integrity testing and inspection for over a dozen fiberglass tanks in several different locations in Colorado. Olsson provided two on-site inspectors to expedite completing the inspections and testing that were necessary to comply with the tank integrity provisions of the SPCC rules.
