Solving problems is a two-way process—our clients’ perspective and challenges blend with our desire to share our expertise. We’re serious about creating a collaborative environment—one in which we all work as equals to discover what works, what doesn’t and what might.
Above all, we value client relationships.
Successful projects aren’t just about staying within budget or meeting schedules. First and foremost, they’re about working with our clients in an environment that puts a priority on relationships. Because in the end, everything we do hinges on the positive collaborations we create along the way. In 2007, 80 percent of our work came from repeat business, so we must be doing something right.
We understand the communities we serve.
Olsson Associates carefully considers what matters most to the communities we serve because our work shapes the neighborhoods in which people live and do business. We pride ourselves on providing a unique blend of services that reflect the character and goals of our clients. Our Community Builders Program is another way in which we encourage employees to become involved in communities on a deeper level.
We provide comprehensive solutions.
Perspective is an interesting tool. By continually looking at challenges from new angles—new perspectives—we’re able to find solutions that consider the impacts on surrounding areas. Because we understand the bigger picture, we’re able to facilitate a process that creates a ripple-effect of success for everyone involved.
We know what success looks like.
We know what creates success. It’s a blend of personal relationships with our clients, personal experience from living where we work and personal satisfaction with what we do. We’ve created a thriving environment in which we blend these philosophies with technical expertise to create a sense of achievement for everyone involved.
ONE-ON-ONE WITH OUR STAFF:
What is your favorite part of living in Denver?
"The proximity to biking, skiing, hiking, camping, and the Rocky Mountains for easy vacationing. The lack of humidity in the summer and the large number of restaurants that have outdoor seating are great too."
How would you describe what you do at Olsson?
"Most of my current projects involve stormwater, estimating how much runoff might occur and figuring out where it should go and how to minimize potential negative impacts."
- Deb, Denver Water Resources
What is unique about the Olsson culture?
"A unique quality about Olsson that is very attractive to me is the openness of the company, from not having doors in offices to having financial reports available so any employee can see how the company or a specific group is performing."
How do you like to spend your spare time?
"I enjoy hiking the various mountains nearby, especially Camelback. I also enjoy bicycling, running, and working around the house."
- Duc, Phoenix Land Development
